On Tuesday September 16th will be the Opening of the exhibition “Unexpected Photo Essay on Cortázar, his readers and Paris”. Today I finished (or almost) the last details before the over 80 participants and their with guests arrive.
This is the first exhibition of a long series around Paris and it will show 40 of the images taken during the past year. In the next coming months the essay will be displayed in other places in the city… and soon in another cities of the world (will tell you where soon).
If you are in Paris, drop by.

This is how the entrance of the exhibition place looks like.
So what is this “Unexpected Photo Essay on Cortázar”?
The story is a series of portraits, taken in Paris, of friends and readers of Argentine writer Julio Cortázar.
Each of the 70 participants had to choose a passage of the book Hopscotch that mentions a place in Paris. I then took a portrait of them in the chosen site, and asked them to briefly explain why they preferred it over others.
